Adam Rosman

Aeronautical Engineering | UAVs | Entrepreneurship

Adam showed an early passion for aircraft and engineering, and went on to obtain a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. His first job was at a rocket design company, followed by a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle, commonly known as a drone) operations company, where he was involved in anti-rhino poaching initiatives.

Having identified a gap in the market, Adam then started his own company, Aerial Monitoring Solutions (AMS), which focuses on UAV manufacturing and maintenance for the commercial civilian aerospace market. AMS has grown to become a leading African UAV manufacturing company, with clients in agriculture, game-farming, land surveying, mining and more. They are also looking at payload delivery and vehicle tracking.

Adam is the Chairperson of the Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Association of South Africa (CUAASA) and a key advocate for a more enabling regulatory environment that will grow the industry and create jobs.
